Flying high
“As the seminar in Liverpool was our first event it was essential to make the right impact with all our marketing materials,” continues Karin. “Branding was a crucial part of our marketing mix and therefore the brochure to support this high profile event had to be positioned as an extension of our business, consistent with quality, detail and interest.”
Jannette Rennicks, Pelican’s Sales Manager says, “This job had a fixed deadline with a three day turnaround from getting in the order to delivery. The design arrived on disc but it needed some severe amendments at the last minute and involved reproducing the logos of the many sponsors. The clients made use of our in house Touchdown Suite, worked with our designers on the changes and signed off the brochure on screen.”
Karin adds, “It was great. Everything was last minute and we were really up against it in terms of time, but Pelican made it easy. I love working with them because they are flexible, accommodating and very professional.”
French Connect was a great success, attracting top aviation executives from the UK and high-flying (literally) directors from France to the North West for the first time. The event has contributed to the creation of new routes from North West Airports.
Karin concludes, “I can’t take credit for all of it. French Connect came about as a direct result of working in partnership and collaboration with The Mersey Partnership, NWDA, Marketing Manchester and the Airport Agency, but what I can say is that it was so successful we’re now planning the next event in Sheffield in May and we’ll be knocking on Pelican’s door again to produce the seminar brochure.”
