Input Formats
Pelican accept a variety of file formats including PDF - on disc and via FTP downloads and mass transit or email.
Digital Make-up
Digital files are put together using leading software packages and formed into imposed documents using Scitex Brisque Impose software.
Processing
Digital files raster image processed (RIPped) utilising several Scitex Brisque RIPs.
Proofing
Ripped files are proofed on stateof- the art Kodak Approval digital proofing equipment. Pelican has a variety of back-up proofing devices.
Plate Production
High resolution metal plates are directly produced from ripped files on the Kodak CtP system. Traditional platemaking is available as a back-up system.
Print Production
Jobs are printed on one of three conventional printing presses. The Heidelberg 10 colour speedmaster is able to ‘perfect’ printing both sides of a B2 sheet in five colours at the same time enabling the rapid production of 8 page sections.
Print Finishing
The comprehensive in-house finishing facilities shown above enable Pelican to ensure jobs are processed as quickly as possible. Other specialist services such as UV varnishing and wire-o binding can also be produced utilising our partner suppliers.
Print Delivery
Just as important as the production process, Pelican's vehicles are ready to deliver.
